Above the Law? UN Security Council Vetoes Since 1970

Each member of the UN Security Council has the power to veto resolutions intended to uphold international law. Since 1970, the US has used more vetoes than all other UN Security Council members combined. Over half of US vetoes were used to protect Israel from accountability for human rights violations.
