Visualizing Palestine (VP) is launching a three-month online fellowship program for designers. Apply by 15 November, 2026.
Since 2012, designers at Visualizing Palestine have developed a strong process to transform research and data into visuals to equip educators, advocates, and organizers working toward justice for Palestinians. In 2027, we are hosting a part-time design fellowship led by Visualizing Palestine information designer Yosra El-Gazzar, with the goal of creating space for VP to mentor a small group of designers in our process and approach to data storytelling. In the course of the program, fellows will work with the team to produce an original VP visual. Our goal in offering this fellowship is also to seed relationships with designers who may be interested in contributing to VP’s work in the future.
WHO CAN APPLY? Design professionals, including early-career designers or more experienced designers with a strong interest in learning about Visualizing Palestine’s practice.
FELLOWSHIP STRUCTURE The fellowship will be facilitated online from January 15–April 15, 2027. Fellows must be available on a part-time basis of 15–20 hours per week throughout this period to participate in weekly group seminars, flexible fellowship project hours, and one-on-one meetings. We aim to invite a cohort of 3–5 fellows to participate.
