In this fifth update of the visual “Killing the Story” [insert link to updated version], we document the expanding regional impact of Israel’s attacks on journalists, including the recent massacre in Yemen, which saw the second-largest single-day killing of journalists in 16 years. Through this visual, we not only honor the hundreds of journalists murdered by Israel, but also highlight how decades of impunity enables the Israeli regime to systematically silence those documenting its war crimes and crimes of genocide., this silencing is compounded by Western legacy media, which continue to play a major role in obscuring Palestinian narratives (see our visual on this topic).
