Gaza Water Salinity

As a result of the scarcity of safe water, Palestinians in Gaza are resorting to drinking from polluted agricultural wells that are almost as salty as seawater, well beyond the safe limit established by the World Health Organization. This poses an immediate health risk, particularly for infants, pregnant women, and individuals with kidney disease. In addition, the consumption of polluted water increases the likelihood of contracting diseases, such as diarrhea and cholera. The absence of electricity or fuel to power water and sanitation facilities will lead to an increase in the spread of diseases in Gaza.
