Sonic Violence

The Israeli military uses acoustic weapons to inflict physical and psychological harm on Palestinian and Lebanese communities. This visual was developed in partnership with audio journalist Ahmed Ashour. Ahmed developed the research and concept for this visual during Visualizing Palestine’s Data Storytelling in Practice workshop, offered through the Practitioner-in-Residence program at New York University’s Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies this spring.
